(7/7) Attaining the Unattainable His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
When Mahaprabhu appeared, He distributed His own Holy Name. You can see that when He had just appeared, He would cry non-stop until some intelligent lady took Him on her lap and said, 'Hari bol! Hare Krishna!' Then baby Nimai stopped crying. Everyone started chanting, 'Hare Krishna!' after that. In this way, He made everyone chant the Holy Name by His crying.

suniya achhinu ksira-sagara-bhitare 'I was resting in the ocean of milk when I heard [Advaita Acharya's] cries. The cries of My Nara [Caller] broke My sleep.' (Sri Chaitanya-bhagavata, 2.22.16) It is possible to know everything by the mercy of our guru and Vaishnavs. If we can get our guru's and Vaishnavs' mercy, we can get Mahaprabhu's mercy. It is necessary to have the mercy of the guru and Vaishnavs.
sri-radhara bhave yini suvarna varana 'I worship with nine kinds of devotion Sri Krishna, who is worshipped in Kali-yuga as Sri Gaurahari garbed into the divine mood and golden complexion of Sri Radha and performing sankirtan pastimes in Sri Nabadwip.' (Sri Sri Nabadwip-sataka, 1, Bengali translation by Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur) Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhu also composed a beautiful verse:
নমো মহাবদান্যায় কৃষ্ণপ্রেমপ্রদায় তে ।
namo maha-vadanyaya krsna-prema-pradaya te 'I am offering my obeisance to the Lord who is very magnanimous, who is the bestower of divine love for Lord Krishna, who is Krishna Himself, who is known as Sri Krishna Chaitanya, and who assumes a golden form.' (Sri Rupa Goswami Prabhu, found in Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita) In this verse, Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhu describes Sriman Mahaprabhu's intrinsic nature, Name, form, qualities and pastimes. There is one more important verse:
শ্রীরাধায়াঃ প্রণয়মহিমা কীদৃশো বানয়ৈবা-
sri-radhayah pranaya-mahima kidrso vanayaivasvadyo '"What is that great glory of Sri Radha's love? What is My extraordinary loving sweetness and charm that Sri Radha enjoys? And what is the joy Sri Radha feels by experiencing My sweetness and charm?" Yearning to taste these three sentiments, the moon—Krishna-chandra—was born from the ocean of the womb of mother Sachi.' (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 1.1.6) 'Why does Radharani cry so much taking My Name? What sort of happiness does She feel when She serves Me?' – to taste this ecstasy, Supreme Lord Sri Krishna appeared in this Age of Kali as Gauranga Mahaprabhu. To taste this divine mood of Srimati Radharani, the Lord leaves the company of Laksmi Devi and comes to relish this mood in the company of His intimate associates (you can remember Mahaprabhu's conversation with Sri Ramananda Ray on the bank of the Godavari, when Mahaprabhu showed His Mahabhava Rasaraja form). And the external reason for His advent is also that assisted by Nityananda Prabhu, Advaita Acharya and other devotees, He brought Harinama-sankirtan to this world. We have very little time left now. So, I will finish just now as we must start Krishna-kirtan. There is a very beautiful verse written in Srimad Bhagavatam. We all must know it well, and to know it, we must hear from the holy mouths of sadhus, gurus and Vaishnavs.
tato duhsangam utsrjya satsu sajjeta buddhiman 'An intelligent person should therefore reject all bad association and instead take up the association of saintly devotees whose words cut off the mental attachments.' (Srimad Bhagavatam, 11.26.26; Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 1.1.59) 'Intelligent people will give up bad association and keep good association. By listening to the guidance of sadhus, they will break off the bondage of material desires that oppose devotion.'
satam prasangan mama virya-samvido 'In devotees' association, the talks about the Lord are like nectar to one's heart and ears, they are endowed with special power. By constantly hearing about the Lord, the soul very quickly becomes liberated and established on the spiritual path – first comes faith, then attachment and, finally, love awakens.' (Srimad Bhagavatam, 3.25.25; Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 1.1.60) 'In devotees' association, nectarean talks about Me, which are like nectar to the ear and heart, are discussed. By constantly hearing such talks, the soul attains liberation and then develops faith in Me – after that, attachment and, finally, divine love and devotion for Me arise.' Krishna Himself says:
sadhavo hrdayam mahyam sadhunam hrdayam tv aham 'Pure devotees are always in My heart, and I am always in the hearts of pure devotees. They do not know anything except Me, and I also do not know anything except them.' (Srimad Bhagavatam, 9.4.68)
Jay Sriman Mahaprabhu's avirbhav maha-mahotsav ki jay. [His Divine Grace then chants the verses from Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita and the evening arati of the Lordship, concluding the programme of Sri Gaura Purnima festival.]
