(1/15) Take Prasad His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Everybody will be given prasad at noon today. Please take prasad before you go. In about an hour there will also be paran, so please listen to some Hari-katha now and then take prasad. Before you touch anybody's feet, you must earn the right to do so. Sriman Mahaprabhu gave this right only to one person. His servitor, Govinda, massaged His feet, and the only other person was Kalidas. Do you know how Kalidas took prasad? When everybody took prasad and threw away the banana-leaf plates, he would take those plates and lick them. Would you be able to do that? If you can, raise your hand. Kalidas had so much reverence to Vaishnavs' prasad. 'Taba nija-jana prasada seviya uchchhistha rakhibe yaha (তব নিজ-জন প্রসাদ সেবিয়া উচ্ছিষ্ট রাখিবে যাহা). Whatever remnants Vaishnavs leave, I shall take that every day' (Saranagati). You have done Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama during several days, and we are observing Mahaprabhu's appearance festival today. You are worrying that you may not get a train if you leave after taking prasad at noon, but you do not need to worry about such things. The Lord will arrange everything. Even if you wait and stay here for one more day, there is no loss for you – your house will not be destroyed, nothing will happen. It is necessary to have faith.
'শ্রদ্ধা' শব্দে—বিস্বাস কহে সুদৃঢ় নিশ্চয় ।
'sraddha'-sabde—visvasa kahe sudrdha nischaya 'Sraddha is a firm, determined faith that by serving Krishna all actions are accomplished.' (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 2.22.62) If you serve the Lord, then your debt to your mother, father, rishis (sages), demigods – all debt – will be cleared. People often worship various gods, but there are 330,000,000 gods – they can worship maybe ten gods, not all of them. But if you worship Krishna, then the worship of all gods is automatically accomplished. That is why we do not worship all gods, neither is it actually possible also to worship all of them. If we worship Lord Krishna, then all possible kinds of worship are automatically done (worship of your mother, worship of your father, and so on). Listen carefully to what is being said, then when you go back to your homes, you can tell others about it. Many people will criticise. When I left home and my lucrative teaching job and came to the temple, they would say, 'The boy is gone crazy!' But now, when I see the pictures of the temple construction at my birthplace, I see that they have gone old now – they have long hair, beards, etc. They had been farmers all their lives, and although they are ten years younger than me, they actually look ten years older. A devotee from Tarakeshwar is there, in Bangladesh, now. This is what service is, actually. He asked me, 'Shall I come back for Gaura Purnima?' I told him, 'No, celebrate the Gaura Purnima festival there in Bangladesh.' He is a householder, but I sent him there, and, apart from supervising the construction works, he also gives a class, chants kirtans at the place. He has this capacity... This is how I try to engage everybody in service. He got a multiple entry twelve-month visa with a twenty-day maximum duration of each stay. Twenty days is enough – he can see the construction works and come back. In this way, they are serving the Lord. You, too, must preach about the Lord. Chant the glories of the Lord, practise Krishna consciousness.
