How are you, everybody? I am very happy to see you all.

Are devotees not coming to the temple even on Sundays? And who is living at the temple now? It is sad to see that not so many devotees come to Govinda Dham, that they do not participate in the temple programme. They should come to take care of their Guru Maharaj's Mission, of their Gurudev's Mission. That is their service.

They think that they have taken initiation and that is sufficient, but after initiation they should serve Gurudev. How can they serve Gurudev? They can serve the temple of Gurudev's Mission. They can protect Gurudev's Mission, they can serve to Gurudev's Mission, and they can preach to the devotees. That is their service. It does not matter whether you are a householder, a brahmachari or a sannyasi: even householder devotees can preach – everybody can preach for devotees, for the temple, for Guru Maharaj and for Gurudev. That is everybody's duty.

If you do not do this, then what is your idea? Do you think that you have taken initiation and become great Vaishnavs, so it is sufficient if you stay at the temple or at home and just chant four rounds of mala every day? No. It is not correct. You must serve Gurudev's Mission and Gurudev's devotees. You can do puja, you can do service, you can take care of the Mission. Gurudev's temple is the most important service. If you cannot come to the programme even once a week on Sunday, what will you be doing during this time? Everybody should come from time to time. You live with too much attachment to your material lives all the time, but you must sacrifice your lives for the service to Gurudev. It is necessary for this Mission; otherwise, what for did Gurudev make a temple in Australia? What for did he come to Australia from time to time? Everybody must understand this and everybody must stay united. Everybody must think about Gurudev's Mission, especially Gurudev's Mission in Australia. I am not telling you to think about all temples all over the world, but you live there, in Australia, so you should take care of Govinda Dham. It is necessary to do this. This is my earnest request to everybody.

You can see the example of Venezuela. Yesterday I gave a lecture for them. They have a very bad financial situation, there are so many problems in the country, but despite all that, there were more than one hundred devotees at the programme. Many young boys and girls sat and listened to my lecture. When I was doing the programme there yesterday, I saw that even though they are suffering so much and not even getting food because of the difficult financial situation, they make very big programmes. It was Saturday, a holiday, but they still came to the temple early in the morning. For you in Australia it is evening now – there are so many devotees in Australia, and Govinda Dham is a very big place, but hardly any devotees have come.

This Friday is Radhastami. Radharani cried so much for Krishna, and Krishna came as Gauranga Mahaprabhu, a combined form of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna, to taste Her divine mood. You worship this Gauranga Mahaprabhu in Govinda Dham, Australia. When Mahaprabhu lived in Gambhira, Puri, He spent six years showing us Radharani's pastimes of separation from Krishna (vipralamba-lila).

Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj writes in his Sri Sri Prema-Dhama Deva Stotram:

শ্রীস্বরূপ-রায়-সঙ্গ-গাম্ভিরান্ত্য-লীলনং
দ্বাদশাব্দ-বহ্নিগর্ভ-বিপ্রলম্ভ-শীলনম্ ।
রাধিকাধিরূঢ়-ভাব-কান্তি-কৃষ্ণ-কুঞ্জরং
প্রম-ধাম-দেবমেব নৌমি গৌর-সুন্দরম্ ॥

sri-svarupa-raya-sanga-gambhirantya-lilanam
dvadasabda-vahni-garbha-vipralambha-silanam
radhikadhirudha-bhava-kanti-krsna-kunjaram
prema-dhama-devam eva naumi gaura-sundaram

'In the company of His two intimate associates, Sri Svarup Damodar and Sri Ray Ramananda, He manifests the acme of His deepest, heart-rending pastimes; during those very long twelve years, He speaks in divine madness, vomiting the fire of unbearable separation from Lord Sri Krishna (externally, it produces an agony of swallowed poison; but, internally, it brings much joy); He is none other than Govinda, who, coming under complete influence of Sri Radha’s deep devotional mood and adorned with Sri Radhika’s beautiful holy complexion, resembles a magnificent intoxicated elephant – I am singing in praise of this beautiful Lord Sri Gauranga-sundar, a worshippable Deity of divine love.'

(Sri Sri Prema-Dhama Deva Stotram, 54)

Without service to Radharani and without mercy of Radharani, who is non-different from Gurudev, how can you get service to Krishna? It is impossible. Therefore, you must serve devotees and devotees' mission. It is not sufficient for only two–three people to stay there. You have a big temple, so everybody must come and join from time to time, you must make programmes. It is necessary to do this. It is my earnest desire and earnest request to you all.

Actually, I cannot order you to do anything because you are all my godbrothers. Even if somebody is my disciple, I do not think of them as my disciples – I consider myself their servant. So, all I can do is request you. This is Gurudev's Mission – everybody must protect this mission. It is necessary.

Without service of Gurudev, do they think that they are householders, so their only duty is to take care of their children, wives and husbands? This life will be over before you know it. We are born one day, so we have to die one day, too. It is like that for every living entity – even trees, cats, dogs and birds are born and die like that, too. The question is what have we done in this life? What have we got these human bodies for? You should understand this. Gurudev gave instructions, and everybody must follow them.

We live in a hellish position, we are suffering so much in hell, but where can we find great pleasure? Where can we find great sweetness? There is a certain established method how to attain that pleasure, ecstasy and Krishna-prema. How will you get it if you do not serve Vaishnavs, devotees and your guru? If you have no chastity, how can you possibly get Krishna-prema? Gurudev personally sent me to Australia, and he told all the devotees about the main things. I am very sad to see the situation now... I cannot come there in person, but I still give lectures from time to time. I am giving this lecture to you all now, but hardly any devotees are there. I am very sad about it.

This is what I want to tell everybody there. Do you understand what I am saying? It is very important to understand this.

The Ultimate Obstruction
'Always avoid Nama aparadh, Vaishnav aparadh. Always. Hari Nam is conscious, He is nondifferent from Krishna, and Nam always considers whether one is an offender.'

Our Gurudev gives us so much, but how much can we give to our Guru?
