vande 'ham sri-guroh sri-yuta-pada-kamalam sri-gurun vaisnavams cha 'I worship the holy lotus feet of my initiating and instructing Sri Guru as well as all predecessor gurus, all Vaishnavs, Rupa Goswami, Sanatan Goswami, their dear associates Raghunath and Jiva, Advaita Prabhu, Nityananda Prabhu and Sri Krishna Chaitanyadev along with all His near and dear ones, and Sri Radha–Krishna along with Their associates headed by Lalita and Visakha.'
om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya 'I offer my obeisance to Sri Guru who has opened my eyes, rescuing me from the illusory darkness of ignorance by applying the potent kajal of knowledge upon my eyes.'
gurvvabhista-supurakam guru-ganair asisa-sambhusitam 'I offer my obeisance to him who perfectly fulfils his Gurudev's most cherished desires; who is fully adorned with the blessings of his Gurudev's associates; who is expert in all conceivable and inconceivable aspects of Vedic knowledge; who is the pre-eminent follower of Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhu's line; who is known as "Govinda" (Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj); whose beautiful, effulgent, exalted form is infused with pure devotion; who is the Guru of the entire universe; and who is the giver of the seed of divine love for the Supreme Lord.'
devam divya-tanum suchanda-vadanam balarka-chelanchitam 'I worship Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, the bestower of all auspiciousness, my only shelter and the master of all renunciates. He is my Lord who possesses a transcendental form, whose face expression is very grave, who is clad in the holy clothes the colour of the newly risen sun. He is an abode of intense joy, the only genuine master whom one can accept and surrender to, and an ocean of divine knowledge of renunciation. He is a repository of holy scriptural teachings and pastimes of the highest devotion and a great follower of Srila Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad.'
vanchha-kalpatarubhyas cha krpa-sindhubhya eva cha 'Again and again I offer obeisances to the Supreme Lord's devotees, who are saviours of the fallen, oceans of mercy and wish-fulfilling trees.'
vrndayai tulasi-devyai priyayai kesavasya cha 'Again and again I offer obeisances to Vrinda Devi (Tulasi Devi), who is very dear to Lord Kesava, who bestows devotion to Krishna and is known as Satyavati.'
atha natva mantra-gurun gurun bhagavatarthadan 'Before reciting scriptures that can conquer material world, let us offer obeisances to our initiating Guru, to the Guru who teaches us the meaning of Srimad Bhagavatam, to Sri Vyasadev and all gurus in the universe.' jayah sa-parikara sri-sri-guru-gauranga-gandharva-govinda-sundar-padapadmanam jayastu! 'All glory to the lotus feet of Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharva-Govindasundar and all Their associates.' vande rupa-sanatanau raghu-yugau sri-jiva-gopalakau 'I worship Sri Rupa Goswami, Sri Sanatan Goswami, Sri Raghunath Bhatta Goswami, Sri Raghunath Das Goswami, Sri Jiva Goswami, and Sri Gopala Bhatta Goswami.'

We have observed today the festival in honour of Srila Gurudev's divine appearance again, after one year. Those who are fortunate are able to take part in this festival: they can come to the festival, take prasad and chant kirtan in the association of sadhus. Actually it is the duty of everyone of you to preach about Gurudev. Just as Gurudev preached about his Guru Maharaj, Srila B.R. Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, all over the world, you, too, must go village to village and preach about your Guru Maharaj. Preach about the guru.
Many of you think, 'I am alone in my village, there are no devotees,' but you must continue trying to preach. You know, the other day I was giving an online initiation to a person from Costa Rica. Do you see? I have never been there; it is a new country. Some devotees moved to Costa Rice from another country, and they opened a small ashram there and started to preach. I gave initiation to a person from that country. They told me, 'Gurudev, please give your blessing so we can preach here.' They are a husband and a wife. The husband took initiation before, and his wife has just taken initiation. Through a video camera, they showed me their altar, the house, the land, etc. They are alone, but they went to a new country and started preaching about Gurudev, Guru Maharaj and Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.
I have got phone calls from many countries today – Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj called me from Mexico, Srila Bhakti Vijay Trivikram Maharaj called me from Brazil, Sripad Bhakti Nandan Sadhu Maharaj went to Singapore and had a programme there. Six devotees wanted to take initiation, and I told him, 'I do not have time to have an online programme, so you can give them initiation as a ritvik.' So, six devotees took initiation there today.
In this way, this festival of Gurudev's appearance is celebrated all over the world today. In some countries it is already late evening, while in other countries it is only early morning. Devotees are preaching about Gurudev's appearance all over the world. You must also have this kind of determination. You must be firm and determined, 'I will preach for my gurudev.' I have told you many times at the time of Gaura Purnima that if each of you brings one more person, the temple will be full to the brim. A thousand people come, and if each of them brings one more person with them, then there will be two thousand people. Preaching is the main thing for everybody. ‘Prana achhe yara, sei hetu prachara (প্রাণ আছে যার সেই হেতু প্রচার). You must preach about the Lord for as long as you have life in this body.’
I have told you today that solitary practice (nirjan bhajan) is selfish – you do it to save yourselves, but what did our guru-varga do? They all practised and lived together with everybody (gostha bhajan) – they lived on this human plane and, coming down from the highest level of uttam-adhikari to the middle level of madhyam-adhikari, preached about their guru-varga.
Our time is very short. We do not know when we will close our eyes, so we pray to you – please pay attention to your spiritual lives.
