Sometimes you think that there are only very few of you devotees here in Vijayawada, but Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj said, "Agun jvalo vatas emnite-i asbe, আগুন জ্বাল বাতাস এমনিতেই আসবে). Start the fire, the wind will come on its own." Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj Prabhupad also started preaching in America alone, but you know what a big society (ISKCON) he created with his preaching and, with his power. WhenSrila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj established Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, he had only one thatched house, but you can see that now Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math preaches all over the world.

You have taken initiation in this Chaitanya Saraswat Math, and you should also preach about Gurudev, about Guru Maharaj. Preach one by one, try, try, and try. Sometimes people will not listen to you because people are too much attached to family life in this age of Kali. Still, you must try to preach, try to detach them from this family life and take souls to the family of Krishna. That will be good for everybody.

The most important thing is that you must follow Gurudev's instruction. If you preach to people one by one in this area, then there will be more and more devotees. You can invite people to the programmes, you can take them to Nabadwip for Nabadwip Dham parikrama, or for Vrindavan Dham parikrama, Puri Dham parikrama.

Sometimes you become tired, but you must not become restless—do not lose your patience. Be tolerant. Try and try in this way, and you must be successful one day. Also, you must chant five kirtans every morning and five kirtans every evening. You know that you are going to work this day, but before you go to work, you must start the day with kirtans in the morning and chant another five kirtans in the evening. If you engage yourself in sankirtan-yajna, you can make Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Sriman Nityananda Prabhu happy through that.

"Chanting of the Holy Name (kirtan) arouses remembrance (smarana), and at that time it becomes possible to practise nirjan-bhajan."

You can remember the Lord, you can remember your Gurudev through kirtan. When you chant guru-vandana, you can remember Gurudev's lotus face—through the kirtan of Nityananda Prabhu, through the kirtan of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, you can remember Their lotus faces (Their Name, form, pastimes, abode, associates, etc.). Kirtana-prabhave smarana haibe—chanting makes it possible to practise remembrance. It is necessary to practise this.

Also, you can make programmes every week at different places. You do not have a centre here yet but you can make a programme once a week—one week in one house, another week in another house, and so on. Devotees can come together for istha-gosthi (candid talk), they can ask questions and those who know some conception can answer. There are devotees here who always associate with me, who understand my language and your language—you can ask them any question also. Always keep contact with devotees, and it is always necessary to keep connection with your guru.
