(3/6) Seal Your Life His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Actually, I told everybody – we are chanting, we are glorifying, we are listening about the Lord. But are we getting the result? We are singing at the prasadam time: 'Prasada-seva karite haya, sakala prapancha-jaya (প্রসাদ-সেবা করিতে হয় সকল প্রপঞ্চ জয়): by honouring the Lord's prasad I conquer all worldly illusions' (Saranagati). We take prasad every day, but can we overcome the five diseases (prapancha)? Why not? Because we have some internal problem – we have some material desire. If you pour water into a glass, but the glass does not become full, what is the reason? It means there are some holes in the glass – in our life, these holes are offences to the Holy Name, offences to the holy place, offences to service, offences to Vaishnavs and other desires. Everything goes out throw these offences. No matter how much service we do, all result goes out through these holes.

anyabhilasita sunyam jnana-karmady anavrtam 'The highest devotion is that which satisfies Lord Krishna, free from the coverings of any pursuits, such as action or knowledge.' (Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhuh, 1.1.11)
অন্য অভিলাষ ছাড়ি, জ্ঞান কর্ম্ম পরিহরি,
anya abhilasa chhadi, jnana karma parihari 'Serve the Lord with your body and mind, giving up all other desires and the pursuit of material benefit and knowledge. Serve Lord Krishna in the association of sadhus and do not worship any gods or goddesses. Such devotion is the highest process.' (Sri Sri Prema-bhakti-chandrika, Srila Narottam Das Thakur) If you are to serve Krishna, you must do it in sadhu-sanga. You cannot practise spiritual life alone. If you worship the Lord alone, that is not spiritual life (bhajan). It is necessary to worship Krishna in sadhu-sanga (association of saints). You do not need to worship any gods or goddesses. We must always remember this: 'Serve the Lord with your body and mind, giving up all other desires and the pursuit of material benefit and knowledge. Serve Lord Krishna in the association of sadhus and do not worship any gods or goddesses. Such devotion is the highest process.' We take prasad every day, but illusory environment does not go way from us: as long as you are attached to the material world or anything in it (visaya), the holy teachings of Rupa-Raghunath (what they told and what our guru-varga told) will not enter your ears because you have material desires. Chitraketu is an example of that; his story is described in Srimad Bhagavatam.
