Question: How can we get enthusiasm to serve Gaura Nitai in our country/city?

Is your country now in quarantine? Is there a lockdown? Are all shops closed?

Devotee: Some shops are closed, but we are living in the temple now.

Live there, it is good. Continue the service properly, harmonise with the situation.

Question: We practise and believe we practise properly, but when some test comes, we suddenly lose everything and cannot do it properly anymore. Why does this happen?

Because sometimes we do some wrong things. We chant and chant, but we are not getting the result? Suppose you pour water into a pot or glass—you put water again and again, again and again, but still the glass is not full. Why? Because there is a hole at the bottom. We do something and at the same time we also do something wrong, we do what is unfavourable to devotional practice. We gossip, we talk nonsense, we are lazy, we make offences, we do many nonsense things, and that is not good for us—that is why we do not get the proper benefit through chanting and through service. Once there appears some gap in your service, maya comes and attacks you immediately.

Question: Is there any difference between being a good disciple and being a fanatic of Sri Guru?

What does fanatic mean? It is necessary to have chastity. I cannot understand what you mean by 'fanatic', but chastity must be there.

We must try to rectify ourselves. We are everybody's servants. When you take initiation, you do not become a devotee—you only get admission into a spiritual school, but after that you must practise. You will become perfect through practise. Actually, devotees never think they are perfect—they always think that they are imperfect. So, we will try our best according to our level. That is our situation. Everybody is a servitor. When I take initiation, I become everybody's servitor. Do you think when you take sannyas you become everybody's master? No. When we take sannyas, we become even more dedicated servitors of devotees. That is our situation.
