Pass Your Life in Service

Do not waste your time on gossiping, talking nonsense. You have got time to chant the Holy Name, to read books, scriptures, to listen to Gurudev's, Guru Maharaj's lectures, to all our acharyas' lectures. You can see what they are saying, how they live. You can read the biographies of Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila Sanatan Goswami, Srila Raghunath Das Goswami, Srila Jiva Goswami, you can read about their lifestyle and see how they got real benefit. I was reading today about the biography, lifestyle, etc. of Bhrigu Maharaj, Bali Maharaj, Chitraketu, Ambarish Maharaj, and Khatvanga Maharaj. I read how they passed their life and how they got the real benefit. Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur wrote one book where he tells about Bhrigu Maharaj, Ambarish Maharaj, King Chitraketu, Bali Maharaj. I am very happy to read it, I am thinking it is not sufficient to read it once, it is necessary to read it again and again.

Now is the time. Pass your life in service. You can take care of your Deities properly, you can take care of your spiritual life. You have got a proper time for it. It is good for you. After lockdown finishes, everybody will again go to work and will be so busy going here, there, but now you have got the real time. This is the main thing.

By and by, I am also a little bit sad because we could not make a good festival for Gurudev's disappearance, also we could not make a proper appearance festival of Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Radha Madan-Mohan in Tarakeshwar temple. It is Nrisingha chaturdasi (the appearance day of Lord Nrisinghadev) in two days—I will try to go there to pay my obeisance. Even though it is lockdown, I will still try to go there by the mercy of Prahlad Maharaj and Nrisinghadev.

Actually, we must think about the devotion of Sri Prahlad Maharaj, we must see the highest devotion of Vraja gopis, how Vraja gopis left everything for Lord Krishna. They left their shyness, everything for Krishna—they can do anything for Krishna. I was reading about it too. Sometimes, I read about Guna Manjari, Rupa Manjari, Lavanga Manjari, Rasa Manjari, Ananga Manjari, how they do their service, how they help Srimati Radharani. I was also reading how much Mother Yasoda, Nanda Maharaj and all the Vraja gopis felt separation when Krishna left Vrindavan. If you read Gopi-gita in Srimad Bhagavatam, you can understand how much separation from Krishna they feel. We must think about separation—about our Gurudev, Guru Maharaj, also sometimes great devotees also leave us. Many devotees have left us, have left their human body. If you can remember them and glorify their qualities, it is good.

Everybody has some good qualities, and everybody has some bad qualities—why will we take anyone's bad quality? Always take everyone's good qualities. This is the main thing. Ignore bad things. It is necessary to have tolerance and patience. And it is also necessary to keep good association. Good association means the association of those who always speak about Krishna, who do not gossip about nonsense things. Do not hear such nonsense talks, do not listen to such nonsense talks, and do not keep any bad things in your mind. That is our problem. It is the religion of the ears, religion of the eyes, religion of the mind to always want to listen to some interesting things, to want to listen to all kinds of stories, to bad things; but we have no attachment to our service... If I am attached to my service, I will always ignore bad things, bad talks, stories.

I am very happy to see all the devotees' faces. Everybody now has got time to chant the Holy Name, and Krishna is actually testing you to see how much patience you have, how long you can sit in one place in your house. Anyhow, at least I can see all your faces and remember you, remember Gurudev. I see you are practising properly. You all can understand easily what is our real life, what we have got this life for and how we should use this life. Use your time properly, do not waste your time. Talk with devotees about Krishna consciousness, about your experience in Krishna consciousness, about your life with Gurudev and Guru Maharaj.
