(13/13) Observing Gundicha Marjan

You should clean the place where you are staying, clean the toilet, clean the bathroom, and also clean your heart through chanting the Holy Name, through chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Clean your heart. On this day, you must clean the place where you stay, clean every room, Deities' room, etc. Do not call a sweeper (a cleaner). We always call a sweeper, but we ourselves are lower than a sweeper, then why is it necessary to call a sweeper? We can clean our toilets ourselves.

In this lockdown period, not everybody can go to the temple, but if you have an opportunity to go to the temple, go there tomorrow and clean the temple, do service there. Sometimes, the temple may not be thoroughly cleaned, so you can clean the temple, clean the Deities' room, Deities' dress room, Deities' outfits, etc. There are so many services at the temple, you can do any service there—clean the plates, clean the toilets, clean the Tulasi garden, clean the flower garden, cleaning the nat mandir, etc.

The important thing is that you must do it with sravan and kirtan—when you clean, you will chant. In Mahaprabhu's time, when everybody cleaned and swept the temple, they all chanted, 'Krishna, Krishna.' We too will chant in this way. Tomorrow is Gundicha Marjan; everybody will join it and clean their hearts through sravan and kirtan, through practising.
