suna, he rasika-janakrsna guna aganana
ananta kahite nahi pare
krsna jagatera gurukrsna vancha kalpa-taru
navika se bhava-parabare [1]

Listen, great relisher of rasa! The transcendental qualities of Sri Krishna are innumerable, even Anantadev is not capable of describing them! Krishna is the spiritual master of the entire universe, He is a wishfulfilling desire-tree, and He is the captain of the boat in the ocean of material existence.

hrdaya pirita ja'rakrsna chikitsaka ta'ra
bhava roga nasite chatura
krsna bahirmukha janeprema-amrta vitarane
krame laya nija antahpura [2]

Krishna is a doctor for those whose hearts are diseased, He is very expert at destroying the heart disease of material existence. By distributing the nectar of ecstatic love to all the inimical souls, He gradually takes them back to His own confidential realm.

karma-bandha jnana-bandha,avese manava andha
ta're krsna karuna sagara
padapadma madhu diya,andha-bhava ghucaiya
charane karena anuchara [3]

(3) Krishna is an ocean of compassion for those who are bound up in fruitive reactions (karma), as well as for those bound up in philosophical speculation (jnana), and for those blinded by other human perplexities. Giving the honey of His lotus feet, and thus relieving the darkness of such worldliness, He makes one an attendant of His own feet.

vidhi-marga rata janesvadhinata ratna dane
raga-marge karana pravesa
raga-basavartti ha'yeparakiya-bhavasraye
labhe jiva krsna-premavesa [4]

(4) Krishna eventually bestows the jewel of independence unto those persons who are attached to the path of rules and regulations, thereby allowing them entrance into the path of spontaneous loving service. Becoming influenced by such spontaneity, remaining under the shelter of the mellows of paramour love (parakiya-bhava), the soul finally attains all the symptoms of ecstatic love for Krishna.

premamrta-vari-dharasada panarata ta'ra
krsna ta'hadera bandhu pati
sei saba vraja-janasukalyana-niketana
dina-hina vinodera gati [5]

Krishna is the dearmost friend and husband of those who are always attached to drinking the fountain of ecstatic tears of love. Thus, the goal of this most fallen and lowly Bhakti Vinoda is to be with all such residents of Vraja within the abode of Supreme auspiciousness.

Where Your Desire
Can Take You
Two lessons taught by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu: both King Prataparudra and Damodar Pandit had strong desire for Mahaprabhu's mercy and earnestness in service, but was their attainment the same?

If you can avoid these three—kanak, kamini, pratistha—and give them to their proprietors, then you will have no problem and you will not fall down.
