varaja-vipine, yamuna-kule
mancha manohara sobhita phule [1]

There are beautiful spots within the forests of Vrindavan, on the bank of the Yamuna, adorned with flowers.

vanaspati lata, tusaye ankhi
tad upari kata dakaye pakhi [2]

There are creepers and great fruit trees pleasing the eye; there are birds calling out from the trees.

malaya anila, vahaye dhire
ali-kula madhu-lobhete phire [3]

There is a gentle breeze from the Malaya Hills, and swarms of bumblebees flying around in search of honey.

vasantira raka, udupa tada
kaumudi bitare adara sada [4]

The full moon in the early hours of the morning shines in the sky at this time filling everything with its loving moonlight.

emata samaye rasika-bara
arambhila rasa murali-dhara [5]

At this time, the Flute Holder (the best of the relishers of rasa) begins His rasa pastimes.

sata-koti-gopi majhete hari
radha-saha nache ananda kori [6]

Amidst millions of gopis, Supreme Lord Hari enjoys and dances in the company of Radha.

madhava-mohini, gaiya gita
harila sakala, jagata-chita [7]

When Madhava-Mohini (Sri Radha) sings, the whole world loses its soul in Her singing.

sthavara-jangama, mohila sati
haraola chandravalira mati [8]

All moving and non-moving entities, all chaste ladies become enchanted and lose Chandravali's mentality (feeling of opposition towards Sri Radha).

mathiya varaja kisora mana
antarita haya, radha-takhana [9]

Having stirred the mind of Vraja Kishor, Radha then withdraws from there.

bhakativinoda paramada gane
rasa bhangala aji radha vihane [10]

Bhaktivinod senses some calamity as the rasa-lila broke off today without Radha.

sata-koti gopi madhava mana
rakhite narila kari' yatana [11]

No matter how much they try, millions of gopis cannot hold the mind of Madhava.

venu-gite dake, radhika nama
'eso eso radhe!' dakaye syama [12]

He calls out Radhika's Name with His flute song—"Come here, Radha! Come back!", calls out Shyama.

bhangiya sri-rasa-mandala tave
radha anvesane chalaye yabe [13]

The whole rasa-lila breaks off and Madhava leaves in search of Radha.

'dekha diya radhe! rakhaha prana!'
baliya kandaye, kanane kana [14]

"Please, appear before Me, save My life!"—says Kana crying as He roams the forests.

nirjana kanane, radhare dhari'
miliya parana judaya hari [15]

When Hari then catches Radha in a secluded grove, Their union soothes His very soul.

bale, 'tunhu vina kahara rasa?
tunhu lagi' mora varaja-vasa' [16]

He says, "What rasa is there without You? I live in Vraja only because of You!"

e-heno radhika-charana-tale
bhakativinoda kandiya bale [17]

Bhaktivinod cries at the feet of this Sri Radhika saying,

'tuya gana-majhe, amare gani'
kinkari kariya, rakha apani [18]

"Please count me amongst Your own. Make me Your maidservant and engage me in Your service."

Chanting: Maha-Mantra and Bhajans
'A girl came to me yesterday and argued with me: Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math follows mostly Guru, and Iskcon follows mostly Krishna; we chant so many bhajans, and they mostly chant Hare Krishna maha-mantra. I told her..'

Although we have everything, still we are suffering so much.
