(15/15) Wholesome Vision His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
advaita-acharya-bharya, jagat-pujita arya, 'Advaita Acharya’s pious spouse, Sri Sita Thakurani, who is worshippable in the whole world, came on the order of her husband to see the crest-jewel of a child, bringing along various gifts.' Sri Sita Thakurani is Sri Advaita Acharya Prabhu's potency, or you can say wife. He had two potencies, Sri and Sita.
suvarnera kadi-bauli, rajata-mudra-pasuli, 'She brought conch-shaped gold earrings, silver anklets with coin-like ornaments, gold bracelets, bangles as well as two exquisite conch bangles for both hands, curved silver foot-bracelets and various gold necklaces with coin-like ornaments.'
durva, dhanya, gorochana, haridra, kunkuma, chandana, 'Bringing auspicious offerings, including fresh grass, paddy, gorocharan, tumeric, kumkum and sandalwood, along with baskets full of clothes and ornaments, she came in a cloth-covered palanquin together with her maidservants.'
bhaksya, bhojya, upahara, sange laila bahu bhara, 'She arrived at Sachi Devi’s house with a great amount of various food preparations and gifts. When she saw the figure of the child, she thought that He looked just like Gokula-Kana (baby Krishna) Himself, only His bodily colour was different.' When she saw the child, she thought, 'He is Sri Krishna Himself, only His bodily colour was different.' This is what we were singing yesterday during the evening kirtan. Do you know where it is taken from? For each Gaura Purnima we print these verses from Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita that was composed by Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami. He wrote it after receiving Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's and Madan-Mohan's mercy. He was very old at that time. He said, 'My hands are trembling so much, how will I write?' and he got the inspiration from Madan-Mohan, 'I am the one who will write, you just need to hold the pen.' Sriman Nityananda Prabhu also had a servitor, Ramdas Minaketan. One time, Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami's brother (he was an offender, so his name is not mentioned anywhere) arranged for a kirtan programme in their hometown, Jhamatpur Baharan, and invited a brahman priest to do the puja. That brahman kept only Gauranga Mahaprabhu's Deity, without Nityananda Prabhu. He worshipped One and did not accept the other One. So, when Ramdas Minaketan came there, the brahman showed no respect to him because Ramdas Minaketan was Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's disciple. There are many people like this, actually. They say, 'Oh, I am Srila Govinda Maharaj's disciple, but you are Acharya Maharaj's disciple!' Because that brahman did not like Nityananda Prabhu, he did not like His disciple, so on the pretext of being busy with puja, he did not even offer him a seat. Taken aback, Ramdas Minaketan came to Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami and said, 'Seeing his behaviour, my hair is standing on end!' After that, Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami had a fight with his brother – he told him, 'You have made an offence! This is half-hen logic!' What does half-hen logic mean? A hen eats with its mouth and lays eggs with its rear part, so you think that you can keep the part that produces eggs and throw away the other 'useless' part. Will you get any eggs like this? So, how can you accept Gaura but not Nitai? Similarly, how can you accept Nitai but not Gaura? They are One but manifest as Two. Just as Krishna and Balaram are one, so are Nitai and Gaura. In the evening, Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami saw a dream in which Nitai came to him and said, 'Wake up, wake up, Krishna Das! Do not stay in Jhamatpur any longer – come to Vrindavan!' And he left. Nityananda Prabhu told him that he did not need to keep that bad association. It may be your brother, but if he does not have respect for devotees, it is not necessary to keep their association. That is how Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami came to Vrindavan. If you went there, you have seen his samadhi-mandir there. We have also got his house in Vrindavan as part of our temple there.
sarva anga—sunirmana, suvarna-pratima-bhana, 'The limbs of His body were very beautifully built, making Him look like a golden doll. All His limbs were adorned with auspicious signs. Seeing the divine effulgence of the boy, Sita Thakurani’s heart melted with maternal affection.'
aichhe sachi-jagannatha, putra pana laksminatha, 'In this way Mother Sachi and Jagannath Misra obtained the husband of the goddess of fortune as their son – all their desires were fulfilled. Their house was filled with riches and grains. Everybody was drawn to the graceful beauty and effulgence of the child, and Mother Sachi and Jagannath Misra felt more and more joyful day by day.' There is much more written here, but it is late, so I would like to finish here. We will try to meet again later at 10 o'clock. [His Divine Grace chants Hari Haraye Nama Krishna and concludes the morning class.]

sri-chaitanya nityananda sri-advaita-chandra 'All glory to Sri Chaitanya, Nityananda, Sri Advaita-chandra, Gadadhar, Srivas and all the devotees of Lord Gaura!' You may wonder why in some other temples they sing, 'Sri Advaita Sita Bhagavad Gita' instead of 'Sri-Chaitanya Nityananda Sri-Advaita-chandra.' This line was written like that by Srila Sridhar Maharaj. Outside people do not understand anything, so they talk about the marriage of Sita and Advaita, Vishnupriya and Mahaprabhu, and Jahnava and Vasudha and Nityananda Prabhu. There is no question of marriage between them. Sita, Vishnupriya or Jahnava and Vasudha are all potencies of the Lord. People compare Krishna-prema with the so-called love between boys and girls in this world, but one is prema (pure, divine love), and the other is kama (lust); these are two different things: prema is light, and kama is darkness. That is why Srila Sridhar Maharaj wrote, 'Sri-Chaitanya Nityananda Sri-Advaita-chandra' to prevent people from thinking about Sita and all those wrong things.
