Hari bol. Hare Krishna. Please sit down, everybody. Sit down and take some rest for a few minutes. Meditate on Sriman Nityananda Prabhu. But will you do it?...

[To a thick crowd of people thronging in front of the temple] Please do not throw money in front of the Deities! It is written clearly: 'Do not throw money in front of the Deities.' If you throw money, it can hit the Deity's body. There is a donation box – put money there. Why are you making offence? It is written there not to do it, then why are you consciously making offence? You must not throw money to Deities at any temple or house. Throwing prasad or water (vatasa, বাতাসা) to the crowd (হরির লুট) is also an offence – if it falls on anybody's leg, it will be the offence of the person who threw it. And if somebody gives money so that this water or prasad gets thrown upon everybody, it will be their offence as well. If you do not know these things, then ask and try to learn it. What you have learnt so far is all wrong. You throw money to the Deity, but what if it hits the Lord's body? If somebody throws money in your face or into your eye, how will you feel? Think about it yourself.

[His Divine Grace switches to English and shortly after continues in Bengali] We are very fortunate to be here, in Sri Ekachakra Dham, in Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's birthplace, today. We are chanting, listening and speaking in glorification of Sriman Nityananda Prabhu, remembering how Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami, Srila Vrindavan Das Thakur, Srila Narottam Das Thakur and Srila Lochan Das Thakur glorified Nityananda Prabhu. Our Gurupadpadma Om Vishnupad Jagad-Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, our Param Guru Maharaj Om Vishnupad Jagad-Guru Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj and Srila Prabhupad Om Vishnupad Bhagavad Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur glorified Sriman Nityananda Prabhu in a very beautiful way. How much they glorified Him! If only you could read properly what they said!

You have no time! You have no time left! You talk so much nonsense, you think so much about your family life, you are so attached to your material life, but when will you get time to chant Nitai-Gaura's Names? You must think about it. We always think about our families, children, we are always very deeply attached to our family life, but when will we get time to chant Nitai-Gaurachandra's Names? When will this attachment to our families and material life be removed? This is what we must pray to Sriman Nityananda Prabhu about.

Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami pleased Ramdas Minaketan, Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's servitor, and after that he got Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's mercy. Srila Raghunath Das Goswami tried and tried so much to get Sriman Mahaprabhu's mercy, but it was not possible without Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's mercy. As soon as he received Sriman Nityananda Prabhu's mercy, all bondage of illusory environment was immediately removed from him and he finally received Sriman Mahaprabhu's mercy. After Srila Raghunath Das Goswami got mercy from Sriman Nityananda Prabhu, he got mercy and shelter under the guidance of Sriman Mahaprabhu – he got the service from Sriman Mahaprabhu. Sriman Mahaprabhu engaged him as a servitor of Sri Svarup Damodar and even gave him the name Svaruper Raghu (Svarup's Raghu).

It is explained clearly that we must not criticise anybody. Mahaprabhu warned us about it. Be careful! Do not criticise any Vaishnav, do not criticise Gurudev, do not criticise guru-varga. Do not criticise Nityananda Prabhu! Be careful! Even if Nityananda Prabhu grabs a drunk lady, He is always worshippable even for Lord Brahma. This is the 'certificate' Sriman Mahaprabhu gave to Sriman Nityananda Prabhu. We must understand this.

How much mercy Sriman Nityananda Prabhu bestowed all over the world! It is not possible to attain anything without Him. Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj composed 'Sriman Nityananda Dvadasakam', and he wrote there that we cannot ignore Nityananda Prabhu. If we ignore Nityananda Prabhu – if we do not surrender to Nityananda Prabhu and if we have no attachment to Nityananda Prabhu – our bhajan, sadhan, our Krishna consciousness or Gaura consciousness line will be spoilt at any moment.

'Ahankare matta haina, nitai-pada pasariya asatyere satya kari mani (অহঙ্কারে মত্ত হৈঞা, নিতাইপদ পাসরিয়া অসত্যেরে সত্য করি মানি). Maddened with pride and forgetting Nitāi’s feet, you take untruth for truth.' Because we are always overcome with ego, we always think that what is not truth is the truth. Our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends and relatives – everything! – will leave us, but Nitai is there and will always be there...

In his last days, Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj only chanted, 'Nitai Gaura Hari bol. Nitai Gaura Hari bol. Doyal Nitai, Doyal Nitai. (Merciful Nitai, merciful Nitai.)' Once, his servitor asked him, 'Maharaj, shall I give you your chanting beads?' And Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj replied, 'It is not necessary anymore. You can give those beads to Govinda Maharaj. I have Nitai, I do not need to chant on the beads.' So, only 'Doyal Nitai, Doyal Nitai.'

We must remember Gaura-Nityananda in this way. We must always pray, 'Doyal Nitai, Doyal Nitai.' If we think like this all the time, then our devotional life will become unshakable and all obstacles and hardships on our path will become cleared – everything will turn into water and dissipate. We must always remember Sriman Nityananda Prabhu. We must surrender to Nityananda Prabhu and always live in His shelter. We cannot do anything without His shelter.
