(8/9) Be Unwandering and Unwavering His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Everybody must go for the parikrama tomorrow. It is going to be a short parikrama. You have all come to do this parikrama of Sri Nabadwip Dham. We have been walking for the past three days. One day, we walked without using buses; on the other days, we arranged for buses. You have heard that there was a problem with getting buses for tomorow – I have found three buses in Krishnanagar that could take us to Mayapur, and I have arranged for five buses for tomorrow. We will be passing our temple tomorrow, but please do not go inside. We will walk in front of it and offer our obeisance to Gurudev from outside. When Gurudev needs our service, he will take us there himself. We will not go there forcefully. Going there through fighting or causing problems and unrest – I do not like this at all. So, offer your obeisances from far. Walk with me and chant kirtan. Do not pay attention to who is saying what. Chant kirtan loudly and pass that place. Do not talk village talks and do not listen to village talks. Just as hearing vaishnav-ninda (criticism, blasphemy) is a sin, speaking vaishnav-ninda is the same sin. So, do not swear or criticise anybody. We must pray for everybody, we must wish spiritual benefit for everybody, we must pray that the Lord may bless everyone. This is what we must always do. This kind of mood must be there in our hearts. The Lord is crying for us all. Our Param Guru Maharaj has a book called Loving Search for the Lost Servant. We are lost children of the Lord. We come from the Lord. Some of us became goats; some of us became dogs; some of us became cats; some of us were born in Bardhaman; some of us were born in Bankura; some of us were born Bangladesh; some of us were born in Pakistan; some of us were born in cowsheds; some of us were born on buffalo pasturing grounds; some of us were born in snake holes; some of us were born in frogs' holes; some of us were born in water as various kinds of fish; some of us were born as pigs and trees. We live in all kinds of places. Therefore, it is my prayer to you all. The Lord is crying, 'When will My lost children return to Me? When will they return to My home?' Come to our own home! Let us go back to our homes! As Param Guru Maharaj said, 'Back to God, back to home.' And Srila Swami Maharaj would say, 'Back to God, back to Godhead.' Our home is there. The place that you think is your home here is not your home: we always take what is not true to be true ('Ahankare matta haina, Nitai-pada pasariya, asatyere satya kori mani; অহঙ্কারে মত্ত হৈঞা নিতাই-পদ পাসরিয়া অসত্যেরে সত্য করি' মানি'). This place here is not your home! You have lost your address. Your address is where the Lord is. This is where we must go. What for do we struggle and work so hard now? So that we do not have to do this parikrama of the material world anymore. If you want to become rescued from this material world, the seed of your devotion must sprout and grow to reach service to Radha-Govinda and a place at the holy lotus feet of the Lord. Wherever Gurudev is now (wherever Gurudev went), we can come to him. If we can do that, we will never have to suffer from birth, death, old age and disease. We suffer when we are born; we suffer when we die; we suffer when we grow old; and we suffer when we are sick. We are suffering in all these ways, but there is only one way to get relief from all this suffering: through the lotus feet of the Lord. "Bhagavata pada Vaisnavera sthane, ekanta asraya kara Chaitanya-charane (ভাগবত পড় বৈষ্ণবের স্থানে, একান্ত আশ্রয় কর চৈতন্য-চরণে). Read Bhagavatam under guidance of a Vaishnav and take exclusive shelter at the lotus feet of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu' (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 3.5.131). 'Ekanta' means you must not think about anything else, your mind must not wander in any other direction, you must not look for anything else. You do not actually need to search for anything else. I have told you many times that if I am thirsty, it is enough for me to drink one glass of water – I do not need to think about a whole great ocean full of water. So, you do not need to think about big-big books, big-big scholars, and so on. It is enough to have only what is necessary. 'Bahu grantha na paribe, bahu kalabhyasa na karibe (বহু গ্রন্থ না পড়িবে, বহু কলাভ্যাস না করিবে): do not read many books, do not practise many things.' Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita and Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita are authentic revealed scriptures. It is said in Srimad Bhagavatam:
পৃথিবীতে যত কথা ধর্ম্মনামে-চলে ।
prthivite yaha kichu dharma name chale 'Bhagavatam says that whatever is going on in this world in the name of religion is complete cheating.' (Based on Srimad Bhagavatam, 1.1.2) So, do not listen and mix with other things, then you will be very happy.
Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay.
