You have all done the parikrama today in a very nice way. You are also tired today because we walked very far, but we returned by buses. When we used to do this parikrama from our main temple, we would start from there and return on foot also (some devotees took buses and returned earlier). But I brought you from our last stop in buses. At some places, there were big crowds and we did not get a chance to speak, so I will speak about those places now. Please listen to what I will say with your heart and soul.

Our first stop on today's parikrama was Samudragar. You could hear about King Samudrasen there nicely. But later, when we went to Ritudwip, there was some crowd, and we could not speak nicely there. But I told you that the Deities that are installed there have been there since Mahaprabhu's time (They were installed in Mahaprabhu's time). In Mahaprabhu's time, His Deities were served in three places. One of them is a place known as Mahaprabhu's Home (we will go there tomorrow), where Vishnupriya Devi served Mahaprabhu's Deity.

The parikrama is very short tomorrow. We will try to return by ten o'clock in the morning. We will go from here in buses, and we will also return in buses. Tomorrow is the parikrama of Koladwip, also known as Nabadwip Town or Kuliya. It is aparadha-bhanjan-pat, a place where offences are forgiven. I will tell you tomorrow about Devananda Pandit and how his offence was forgiven.

There is something I forgot to tell you yesterday. It was a special day yesterday... Our parikrama came late yesterday, and today also. Yesterday was the disappearance day of Srila Madhavendra Puripad, the main guru whose line we have joined. Many of you have heard about Srila Madhavendra Puripad. I have told about him many times. Those of you who have been to Vrindavan with me have also heard about him. Our Guru Maharaj (Srila B.S. Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj) would personally come down and sit at the programme on the day of Srila Madhavendra Puripad's disappearance. Later, when he started showing some pastimes of illness, he would tell me, 'Please tell about Srila Madhavendra Puripad.' We did not get a chance to speak about him yesterday – there were other sannyasis present, and they spoke in English.

Srila Madhavendra Puri is our main guru. He is the root of the wish-fulling tree of devotion. Sriman Nityananda Prabhu, Ishwar Puri and Srila Advaita Prabhu took initiation from Srila Madhavendra Puri. And you know that, in His turn, Mahaprabhu took initiation from Ishwar Puri.

We always speak about Srila Madhavendra Puri when we come to Govinda Kunda in Vrindavan. It is of paramount necessity for us to speak about his character. He was a devotee of a very high level. The Lord stole sweet rice for him, the Lord personally came to feed him some milk. Srila Madhavendra Puripad's nature was ayachita-vrtti, which means that he never begged: if somebody gave something to him, he would take it; and if nobody gave him anything, he would fast. When he decided to go to Vrindavan, he went alone – he did not want to take many people with him. He always thought about the Lord. When he arrived in Vrindavan, he sat on the bank of Govinda Kunda...

The Bond with the Guru
'If you have a very strong relationship with the Guru, offences and undesirable things will gradually go away. If you have some material desire and do not want to remove it, and instead you want more and more, you will never get relief from that desire.'

If I cannot give benefit to myself, who is going to give it to me?
