(9/15) Result of Mercy and Association

Sri Nabadwip Dham and Sri Ekachakra Dham is not so far from you all here in Bokaro, they are actually quite near. The Lord Himself appeared in these places. He comes and personally distributes His Holy Name. There is no difference between the Lord's Name and the Lord Himself. The Lord's Name, beauty, qualities, pastimes, associates and features are completely non-different from the Lord Himself. Nobody except the Lord Himself or His closest associates can give Him to you.

When Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu came to this world, He would go house to house distributing the Holy Name to everybody. He is God Himself, but even He took initiation (to teach the importance of accepting a bona fide guru). In His later pastimes, He came to Sri Puri Dham.

Sri Nabadwip Dham is very near to us, so we must come and do Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama every year. Remember this. New devotees who have just come to this line must come and do Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama every year. If you do this Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama, it will bring you the highest benefit.

If you get your Gurupadpadma's mercy and association and if you get service to your Gurupadpadma, the result of such fortune is that you will get even more service. The result of service is more service. The more service you do, the more benefit you get. We must not live following our minds, doing whatever we want.

Sri Gurupadpadma is a holy embodiment of the Lord's grace. Taking pity on us, the Lord sends gurudev to us, but it is not possible to see gurudev with these eyes – you can only see gurudev with your ears (through aural reception). There are many kinds of gurus in this world: karmi-gurus (teachers of material skills), jnani-gurus (teachers of material knowledge), yogi-gurus (teachers of physical perfections), kaulik-gurus (ancestral teachers), laukik-gurus (common teachers) – but there are very few genuine spiritual masters. Devotion is eternally present within the devotees of the Lord. Sri Gurupadpadma is a very dear associate of the Lord. Without his mercy and association, the jiva soul has no other way to become rescued from this ocean of material existence. His mercy is our only necessity. If you take shelter at the holy lotus feet of Sri Gurudev, you become relieved from all the sins you committed in your previous births and your heart becomes pure (it becomes free from all and any unwanted elements and evil tendencies). If we can then chant the Lord's glories with such a pure heart, we can come to the Lord.

Gurudev gives us the right to do service – he gives us the right to serve Sri Sri Radha-Krishna, Sri Sri Radha-Govinda. When we get this right, we can go to Goloka and behold the intimate pastimes of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna and get service to Them. We can actually go to Goloka Vrindavan. When we go to Vrindavan, we visit Bhauma Vrindavan: Vrindavan Dham that is manifested on this earth. Goloka Vrindavan is not situated within this world. The world actually consists of fourteen worlds (Bhur, Bhuvar, Svar, Maha, Jana, Tapa, Satya; Atal, Vital, Sutal, Talatal, Mahatal, Rasatal, Patal). Beyond these fourteen worlds is situated the abode of Vaikuntha, the transcendental realm. When you cross the Viraja River, you enter Para Brahman. Crossing that, you can reach Goloka Vrindavan, this is where Supreme Lord Sri Krishna always lives. This is where we belong – this is our address, the address that we have lost. We did not come to this world to become carpenters and brick-layers. We must preach Mahaprabhu's message in this world.

The result of receiving Sri Gurupadpadma's mercy is getting his association and divine love. We cannot attain anything without his mercy. That is why we always pray for and aspire after Sri Gurupadpadma's mercy.
