(4/9) Nityananda Prabhu's Campaign

His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
Sri Ekachakra Dham, morning class before parikrama
17 February 2019, part 4
Translated from Bengali

When Sri Nityananda Prabhu visited all holy places, He met with Srila Madhavendra Puri during His travel. Even Mahaprabhu did not visit so many places. For example, Mahaprabhu never went to Dvaraka, but Nityananda Prabhu went there. Lastly, when He understood that Mahaprabhu was going to leave Nabadwip, Nityananda Prabhu went with Him and took Him to Nabadwip (to Shantipur, to the house of Advaita Acharya) instead of Vrindavan. After that, They went together to Sri Puri Dham, visiting the temples of Saksi Gopal and Ksir-chor Gopinath and other places. Nityananda Prabhu had actually been there before with Srila Madhavendra Puri, so He told Mahaprabhu about all those places when They went there together. We do not have time to speak about this in detail now, but you have heard about those pastimes before.

Nityananda Prabhu is so merciful! Mahaprabhu told Him, 'Nitai! Preach the Holy Name of Krishna in this world!' but Nityananda Prabhu thought, 'If I preach about the Holy Name of Krishna, people will not take it well and only make offence at the holy lotus feet of the Lord' and He began to preach the Holy Name of Gauranga.

When Krishna manifested His pastimes, He manifested madhurya-lila (amorous pastimes), and when Gauranga manifested His pastimes, He manifested audarya-lila (magnanimous pastimes) – He would rescue everyone with an open heart and arms. Nityananda Prabhu would embrace and give divine love to the untouchable, the worst kinds of people. He never considered who is high and who is low – He rescued everything. Today is the appearance day of this Nityananda Prabhu.

Nityananda Prabhu would go door to door, appealing to everyone:

ভজ গৌরাঙ্গ, কহ গৌরাঙ্গ, লহ গৌরাঙ্গের নাম রে
যে জন গৌরাঙ্গ ভজে, সেই আমার প্রাণ রে

bhaja gauranga, kaha gauranga, laha gaurangera nama re
ye jana gauranga bhaje, sei amara prana re

'Worship Gauranga! Say Gauranga! Take Gauranga's Name! Those who worship Gauranga are My heart and soul!'

(Sriman Nityananda Prabhu)

'You can buy Me! Just please worship Gauranga!' He told so many things like that. Going door to door, He would tell everyone about Gauranga (about His Name, His abode and His gift). He rescued fallen and lowly souls.

There were two very wealthy Adisaptagram landlords whose land extended all the way from Katwa to the present-day Adisaptagram in the south. These two landlords were Hiranya and Govardhan. Only one of them, Govardhan, had a son, Srila Raghunath Das Goswami. You can remember how Srila Raghunath Das Goswami tried to come to Mahaprabhu and how he finally received Nityananda Prabhu's mercy...

Sanatan-siksa: Full Faith
'Sadhus speak Krishna-katha, speak about Bhagavatam, and if somebody has faith in those talks about the Lord, believes what the sadhus say, then Krishna gives them devotion.'

You are devotees of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, and Gurudev says that you are all in the ship of Chaitanya Saraswat Math, and everybody has to come under one umbrella.
