govardhana-parvata yamuna-tira [1]
The grove-dwelling on the banks of Radha Kunda, Govardhan Hill, the banks of
the Yamuna River.
kusuma-sarovara, manasa-ganga
kalinda-nandini vipula-taranga [2]
Kusum Sarovar lake, the Manasa Ganga River, the rolling waves of the Yamuna,
the daughter of the sun.
vamsi-vata, gokula, dhira-samira
vrndavana-taru-latika-vanira [3]
The Vamsivat tree, Gokula, the gentle breezes, the trees, vines and the
rattan palms of Vrindavan.
khaga-mrga-kula, malaya-vatasa
mayura, bhramara, murali-vilasa [4]
The birds, animals, sweet spring air, peacocks, bumblebees and the sweet
flute song.
venu, srnga, pada-chihna, megha-mala
vasanta, sasanka, sankha karatala [5]
The flute itself, the horn, footprints, range of clouds, spring time, the
moon, conch, hand-cymbals.
yugala-vilase anukula jani
lila-vilasa-uddipaka mani [6]
I know that all this nourishes and excites pleasure in the Divine Couple’s
pastimes.
e saba chhodata kaha nahi yau
e saba chhodata parana harau [7]
If I were to lose all this, I would have nowhere to go. If I were to lose all
this, I would just die.
bhaktivinoda kahe suna kana!
tuya uddipaka hamara parana [8]
Bhaktivinod says: ‘Hear me, Kana! You excite and stir my very being.’
