Sri Nabadwip Dham Parikrama: Day One (Photographs, 12 Mb)
The first day of the annual Sri Nabadwip Dham Parikrama is the longest as it covers three of the nine islands of Sri Nabadwip (Antardwip, Simantadwip, and Rudradwip) and the most auspicious as it always falls on Amalaki Ekadashi and takes the pilgrims to the very heart of Sri Gauda Mandal—the appearance place of Sriman Mahaprabhu.

The longest day of the Parikrama is followed by the shortest one—Sri Koladwip (the same district where our Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math stands). Parikrama proceeds slowly and peacefully through the streets, chanting the Holy Names of the Lord and His associates, and visiting four places on the way.
