Internal Dissatisfaction
"If somebody has ego, they cannot find any fault in themselves. If we follow Gurudev's instruction clearly, we can easily find out whether we are going in the right or wrong direction. 'I am not practising properly, I am doing wrong,' this kind of feeling will always knock in you."

Sanatan-siksa: When Krishna Gives Mercy
His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj is reading from Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, chapter 22: 'Somebody wants material enjoyment and worships Krishna, but when they get the taste of Krishna's nectar, they leave all their desires and aspire to become a servant.'

Sri Sri Prema-Vivarta
“O brother! Serve the Gauranga of my heart. Without Gaura, all of life's pleasures are meaningless.”

Until you have reached a particular level of realisation, you cannot understand
who is a devotee and who is not just by their external behaviour.
